Spc. Seth Allen Miller, 27
Apr 21, 2008

Spc. Seth Allen Miller, 27, of Monticello, formerly of Visalia, California, stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany, as a member of the United States Army 23rd ORD Co., was killed during military exercises on Monday, April 14, 2008.

Seth was born in Tulare, California, and was raised in the San Joaquin Valley.  An accomplished athlete in football and wrestling, he graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California.  He continued to work on his education in San Diego and Champaign.

Seth joined what he called "the best pro sports team in the world" in March of 2007.  Seth loved the Army and serving his country.  A big strong man who had a big heart and bright shining smile, Seth brought power and encouragement to every life he touched.

Born with a stubborn loyalty and an endearing will, Seth saw the best in everyone and was the first to forgive.  With a love of music and nature driving his spirit, Seth was a muse and a mystic in many ways.  Anyone who knew him will never forget his inspired discourse.

Seth was the son of mother Joy Costa, his stefather Christopher Henderson of Monticello, and his father Gordon Miller of Sacramento, California.  Seth was the twin brother of Michaela Miller of Champaign and big brother to Jeremy and Martin Miller of Urbana.  He was also a bonus brother to Aubree, Austin and Emilie Henderson of Mahomet.  During the last year of his life, love smiled on him and brought him his beautiful special woman, Rachel Mosley of Huntsville, Ala.

Seth was blessed with the wisdom and adoration of his grandparents, Allen and Doris Costa of Fresno, California, Loretta Miller of Dresno, Joyce Costa of Visalia and Charles and Catherine Henderson of Champaign.

Seth was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Edgerly Miller of Exeter, California.

Family was an essential element of Seth's life, and he was surrounded by an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.  Seth impacted many lives around the world, and leaves behind a glorious path of never-ending friendships.

A celebration of Seth's abbreviated but full life will be held at 10:00am Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Vineyward Church, 1500 N. Lincoln Ave., Urbana.  A visitation will take place from 5:00 - 7:00pm on Sunday, April 20, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy.  Burial will follow the memorial service Monday at Danville National Cemetery, 1900 East Main Street, Danville, IL 61832.

Seth's memory will burn brightly in our hearts forever.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Seth's name to The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fun, P.O. Box 3968, Gaithersburg, MD 20885-3968.  Email info@cfsrf.org, Website, http://www.childrenoffallensoldiersrelieffund.org.
