RECREATION
Summer Fitness Fun Camp Encourages Exercising Body and Mind
Mar 26, 2008

These days, it seems pretty tough to get your children outside and into the sunshine and fresh air, especially when the comforts of air-conditioning and cable television are competing.  For the third year running, Jodi Fultz will be hosting the Fitness Fun Camp for children ages 3-6.

Children will enjoy learning and participating in new ways to exercise their bodies as well as their minds.  They'll learn about healthy choices, fitness through creative movement, crafts and other fun activities.

The goal of this program is to educate young minds on the importance of exercising the body and the mind in order to promote a healthy lifestyle.  By creating an atmosphere of fun, fitness can be an enjoyable experience and something that will continue for a lifetime.

This year, the camp has an extended camp time of 90 minutes, and will be held June 16th - 20th at the Monticello Forest Preserve Park Pavilion.  Children ages 3-6 years, who are potty trained are invited and encouraged to come.  3 & 4 year-olds come from 8:30am - 10:00am, and ages 5 & 6 from 10:30am - 12:00pm.

Registration will be April 14th - 25th at the Monticello Municipal Building, 210 N. Hamilton Street.  Registration is $70 and includes all crafts and supplies, plus a Fitness Fun Camp T-Shirt.  There will be a late registration fee of $10.
