Aug 7, 2009

The Monticello High School Soccer Team will be hosting a one-day soccer clinic on Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 9:00am - noon.  This clinic will be for all ages, and will kick off the City recreation season.

Current high school soccer players, both the girls and boys teams, will help teach and coach participants.  In addition, Tim Marty and Daniel Burkybile, both assistant coaches in the Monticello soccer program, will join coach Cryder.

Each athlete in attendance will receive a soccer ball.  The cost of the clinic will be $20 per child (Family max. $50).  Skills and drills will be taught from 9:00 - 10:15, with a snack break following at 10:15am to replenish and get them ready to play games, with the Monticello High School athletes as coaches and officials.  The games will begin at 10:30am and run to noon.

Any parent or City recreation coach will be welcome to attend at their leisure.  Skills, drills and game ideas are free for the taking.  The deadline to sign up will be at noon on August 12, 2009.  Registration forms may be picked up at the Monticello High School and the camp will be run at the high school sports complex south of Kratz Road.
