Registration for City Youth Soccer League Going on Now

The City of Monticello Department of Recreation will be holding registrations for the youth soccer league July 20th through July 28th.

Parents can register their children for the youth soccer league by going to the City of Monticello Municipal Building, 210 North Hamilton, Monticello.  Hours of registration are Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 5:00pm.  No late registrations will be taken.  For those who are unable to make it into the Municipal Building within the above time frame, forms may be downloaded off the City of Monticello’s website, or by clicking HERE.  Payment must be received with completed forms.  After-hours payments may be dropped off in the payment box outside the Municipal Building. 

All games take place at the Dwight B. Wilkey Sports Complex (Monticello High School) on Saturday mornings in the fall.  Ages of participants are Kindergarten (co-ed), 1st & 2nd League (co-ed), 3rd & 4th League (co-ed), 5th & 6th League (not co-ed), and 7th & 8th League (not co-ed).  Soccer leagues are based on the participant’s grade the 2009-2010 school year.  There is a $40 participation fee which includes a team shirt.

As always, there is an anticipated demand for soccer coaches.  Persons interested in volunteering for head or assistant coach positions should contact the City of Monticello Department of Parks and Recreation, or denote their interest in the appropriate place on the registration forms.
