Doris M. Stoerger, 63 of Ivesdale, passed away at 8:45am on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at her residence in Ivesdale.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Roux-Hinds Funeral Home, 348 N. Piatt Street, Bement.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 10:00am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sadorus.  The Rev. Joe Hughes will officiate.  Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement.  Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sadorus.

Doris was born on January 20, 1946 in Champaign, a daughter of Estel and Bertha Goens Jamison.  She married Melvin Stoerger on February 11, 1968 in Sadorus, and he survives of Ivesdale.

Also surviving are her father, Estel Jamison of Ivesdale; children, Sharon (Bernie Sloan) of Bloomington, Ind., Mark Stoerger of Danville and Greg Stoerger of Mattoon; grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah Stoerger; stepgrandchildren, Sam and Zach Sloan; and step-great-grandchildren, Elijah and Isaac Sloan; sister, Joan (Bill) Curtin of Lincoln, Neb.; brother, Lester (Glenda) Jamison of Ivesdale.  Doris was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Bill Jamison.

Roux-Hinds Funeral Home, 348 N. Piatt St., Bement, has been entrusted with the family's loved one for Doris's services.
