Loretta Kidd, 62 of Monticello, passed away November 10, 2008 in Urbana, Illinois.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30am at the Trigg Calvert Chapel in DeLand.  Friends may call for visitation from 5:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday, at Trigg Calvert DeLand Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Baseni Rescue and Transport, 7255 Jermyn Cove, Cumantown, TN 78138, and Baseni Health Endowment, Inc. 15 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070.

Loretta was born August 25, 1946, in Decatur, Illinois, to Byrl Lee and Roberts (Lubbers) Kidd.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Frank Lofrano, as well as nieces and nephews, Audra and Mike White, Tara and Jose Blas, and Jared Lofrano and Katie Madigan.

She was a retired librarian and English teacher in the DeLand-Weldon School District.  She was active in P.I.E., a local P.T.A. group.  She served on the Carnegie Library Board in DeLand.
