Lucile V. Lange, age 94 of Monticello, passed away at 5:40pm Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Piatt County Nursing Home in Monticello.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Monticello with Rev. Allan Oman officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.  Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Lucile was born March 11, 1914 in Mansfield, the daughter of John and Grace (Taylor) Anderson.  She married Raymond Lange on February 17, 1940 in Weedman, IL.

Lucile is survived by her husband, Raymond Lange of Monticello, sons: Larry and Ted Lange both of Monticello, and Mike Lange of Lerna, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers (Phil and Paul Keith Anderson) and 1 sister (Geraldine Boman).

Lucile was a housewife and worked as a cook at the Washington Grade School in Monticello.  She was also a membe rof the Christ Lutheran Church.
