Hazel Brown, 93 of Monticello, passed away at 1:25am Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Heritage Manor in Normal. 

Funeral service will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Ingram officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at the Monticello Township Cemetery.

Hazel was born December 22, 1914 in Monticello.  She married Roy Brown on August 17, 1935 in Monticello.  He passed away May 21, 1989.  Surviving are her two sons: Donald Roy (Roberta) Brown of Kewanee and Dwayne (Linda) Brown of Bloomington; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-mother (Effie Fairchild Trimble) 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  Hazel was a retired LPN at the Piatt County Nursing Home and a 50-year member of the First Christian Church of Monticello.
