With the foreclosure crisis showing no signs of slowing, the Illinois Housing Development Authority, along with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation are hosting Homeowner Outreach Days throughout the state.

The public is invited to attend workshops and get advice from counseling agencies, lenders and the State on finding affordable financing and avoiding foreclosure.  Visitors can even talk to participating lenders about adjusting their existing loan or getting a new fixed rate mortgage.

The meetings will be held Friday May 9th at the Springfield City Hall in Springfield, 300 S. 7th Street, Room 300, from 4:00 to 7:00pm, or at the Main Street Church in Decatur, 2000 N. Main Street, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

For more information, visit www.illinois.gov, or call 1.800.532.8785.
