Edith (Edie) M. Hutchings, age 83, of Monticello, formerly of Decatur, passed away at 2:10am, Sunday, April 20, 2008. 

At her request a private family graveside service was held at Graceland-Fairlawn Cemetery.  Mackey-Wright Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Edie was born July 17, 1924 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Alford and Agnes (Baxter) Curtis.  She married Morris J. Hutchings on March 11, 1942 in Carterville, MO.  He passed away on December 3, 1969. 

Surviving is her daughter: Sue James of Monticello, son: Robert J. Hutchings of Champaign, 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. 

Edie was retired from Illinois Bell Telephone Company.
