Dorothy K. Caldwell, of Monticello, passed away at 9:20am, Monday, April 21, 2008 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. 
Graveside service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Bement Cemetery with Pastor Alan Oman officiating.  Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Dorothy was born November 17, 1920 in Centrailia, Illinois, the daughter of John Alvy and Blanche (Furgason) Gosney.  She married Roy Caldwell in Decatur, Illinois January 10, 1960.  He survives.  Also surviving are her daughters: Karen St. John of Mattoon, IL, Ruth Albin of Decatur, IL, Janice Collins of Herrick, IL, Rebecca Markell fo Danville, IL, and Sandra Cogdill of Monticello, IL.  Dorothy has 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and 1 son, Mark Caldwell.

Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed her family.  She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and was an avid bowler for many years.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Christ Lutheran Church of Monticello.
