Irani named ICCTA Outstanding Faculty Member

The Illinois Community College Trustees Association has named Kaizad Irani, program director of Horticulture and associate professor in Business and Agri-Industries, the 2008 Ourstanding Faculty Member for Parkland College.  The award is given annually to recognize a Parkland College instructor whose achievements display innovation, extra effort, problem solving, and a commitment to stay current in his/her field.

Professor Irani will be recognized at the ICCTA annual awards banquet in Springfield in June, where he will receive a plaque from Parkland's Board of Trustees and $1,000 for professional development.  His name will be added to the ICCTA awards plaque in the college's Center for Excellence.  Professor Irani has taught at Parkland since 2002 an has contributed a great deal to his students, his program, his department, and to the college.
