Ruth F. Hall, 84, of Bement passed away at 8:01 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the John and Mary E. Hospital, Monticello.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement.  The Rev. Steve Ingram will officiate.  Memorial contributions can be made to teh John and Mary E. Kirby Hospital, Monticello, or the Bement Health Care Center.

Ruth was born on March 16, 1923, a daughter of Amos and Maggie Stevens Sparks.  She married Roy C. Slagle Jr. on December 20, 1945, and he passed away on June 30, 1977.  She later married Sylvan Hall on February 24, 1984, and he passed away on December 9, 1987.

Surviving are her two sons, Roc C. (Reva) Slagle and Elbert "Gene" (Sara Dianne) Slagle, both of Bement.  Also surviving are four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers, Robert Sparks of Urbana and Charles Sparks of Champaign.  Ruth was preceded indeath by her parents, both husbands, four brothers and six sisters.

Ruth was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello.

Roux-Hinds Funeral Home, 348 N. Piatt St., Bement, has been entrusted with the family's loved one for Ruth's services.
