Information and assistance is available for treating anxiety, the most common mental health issue in America today.  On Tuesday, March 11, at noon in room D244 at Parkland College, there will be an information session titled "Understanding and Treating Anxiety."  See a video and hear from a panel of local mental health professionals who will discuss symptoms/treatment of anxiety disorders and how to get help.  They will also answer questions.  Confidential screenings will be available in the Counseling and Advising Center following the program.

Students, staff, faculty and the public are welcome to attend.  The Parkland College Counseling and Advising Center, in conjunction with the Champaign-Urbana Mental Health Public Education Committee, is presenting this free workshop for the campus and community.  If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Marilyn Ryan in The Counseling and Advising Center, 217.351.2364, or mryan@parkland.edu.

More information is available from the National Institute of Mental Health: www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/anxiety-disorders/index.shtml.
