Loretta C. McGee, 84, of Clinton, formerly of Monticello, passed away at 7:30am Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Manor Court, Clinton.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the St. Philomena Catholic Church with Fr. Bruce Lopez officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello.  Interment will be held in the Bement Township Cemetery.

Loretta was born September 9, 1925 in Homer, the daughter of William and Mary (Cahill) Phalen.

Survivors include her daughter; Sharon Lever of Decatur, grandchildren; Doug (Jasmine) Nelson of White Bluff, TN and Travis (Tammy) Nelson of Decatur, and great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Morgan, Miranda and Jared.  Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Loretta retired from the housekeeping department at the University of Illinois and was a member of the St. Philomena Cathlic Church.
