Thomas J. McGehee Jr., 44 of Mt. Zion, formerly of Monticello, passed away at 11:00am, February 24, 2010.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 - 1:00pm Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home.  Private family interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.

Tom was born September 1, 1965 in Monticello, the son of Thomas J. Sr. and Juanita P. (Adams) McGehee.

Surviving are his sister; Tracey Morgan of Beaverton, OR and brother; Terry McGehee of Monticello.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

Tom was an Executive for the Boy Scouts of America and a professional for the the Salvation Army.  Tom graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Blackburn College in Carlinville and a Master's degree from Sangamon State University.  Tom was an Eagle Scout, spent 20 plus years volunteering wih the Illini Boys State and was an active volunteer with the Salvation Army.

Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or the Salvation Army.
