Gary M. Jones, 52, of Monticello, passed away at 7:04AM Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Kirby Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home.  There will be no visitation.  Inurnment will bee in Glendale Cemetery, Peoria.

Gary was born March 26, 1957 in Peoria, the son of Donald and Mary Ellen (Wiebler) Jones.  He married Deborah Welch on August 10, 1985 in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife: Deborah Jones of Monticello, sons; Kevin Jones and Matthew Jones, both of Monticello, brother; John Jones of Peoria, sisters; Kathy Fritsch of Jacksonville, FL, Diane Smith of Peoria and Bonnie Parker of Oklahoma City, OK.  Gary was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother (Ronnie Sales).

Gary was a Medical Laboratory Director at Kirby Hospital and owner of Jones Institute of Karate.  He was a member of the American Society of Microbiology.  Gary was a former Boy Scout leader and held a Masters Belt in karate.

Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
