Clara O. Shull, 104 of Monticello, passed away January 30, 2010 at 2:50pm at Kirby Hospital, Monticello.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Whitaker officiating.  Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service.  Interment will be at the Keller Cemetery in Lovington, Illinois.

Clara was born August 29, 1905 in Cowden, Illinois, the daughter of Luther and Alice (Brown) Watson.  She married James L. Shull of September 4, 1935 in Covington, Indiana. 

Surviving are nieces and nephews: Ivan (Norma) Porter of Maroa, IL; Joy (David) Gardner of Maroa, IL; Carolyn Kay (Bill) Poffinbarger of Charleston, IL; Robert Ray Marsh of Monticello, IL; and Louise Watson of Fort Myers, FL.  17 Great-nieces and nephews; 37 great-great-nieces and nehpews, and 18 great-great-great-nieces and nephews.  Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Shull, sisters Lenora Porter, Opal Watson, Myrtle Watson and Carol Marsh, brother Stanton Watson, niece Ruby Thomas and Nephew Bill Watson. 

Clara was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband on the farm.  She was a member of the Piatt County Farm Bureau for many years.  Memorials may be sent to Faith in Action.
