No. The City Council passed an ordinance banning leaf burning.  Residents can bag their leaves for curbside pickup the first Tuesday of the month through October, or during leaf pick-up, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The required paper bags for leaves can be purchased locally. The landscape waste facility, located at 904 Allerton Road and adjacent to the Golf Driving Range, also accepts leaves thru November 30. This is a FREE service to residents.

The burning of garbage, municipal waste including landscape waste, or hazardous waste is also banned. Exceptions to the ordinance are wood, paper and cardboard burned in fireplaces or wood stoves that are a part of or erected within residential or commercial properties; and charcoal and wood used in the preparation of food.
